2027 Mercedes-Benz VLE Arrives in the U.S. With Remote-Control Seats and a Huge Rear Display

Finally, we Americans are getting a Mercedes-Benz VLE. For years, if you needed a Mercedes van, you could choose between a Sprinter or a Metris, but now, despite the three pointed stars on the grille, people who looked over with envy as the rest of the world began to enjoy luxury vans from Mercedes and other car manufacturers have become an old version of the line-up. Buyers can expect a 31.3-inch 8K resolution screen, remote control massage, and more. You can also customize the van to make it a true luxury limousine with things like seats, "movie experience" and etc. It has plenty of power, range and drive wheel options to fire. In many ways, this is the van that ends all the vans.

It may seem a bit strange to US buyers, but the VLE is very much for families. If you open two sliding doors that can be opened with an optional hands-free kick access system, whatever you come up with is welcome. The VLE is all about modularity, which is why there are thousands of seating combinations that can be arranged with manual rolls and seating systems go. If the maximum load is what you are doing, the VLE will gladly take eight passengers. Those Roll & Go seats that have a built-in seatbelt for better interior flexibility can be moved back and forth manually as needed. Like the old V-class, these redesigned seats also pivot all the way around so that the two rear columns can face each other.

All you need to do is lock them down at any point on the VLE floor track when you get them exactly where you want. If it turns out that you do not need a seat for 8 people, simply remove the seat for more cargo hold. Mercedes wouldn't tell me exactly how much they weighed, but relatively healthy people can take them on their own without much trouble. At least they have 4 wheels so you can roll them out once they get out of the van. There are 3 seat types to choose from: comfort (manual), premium comfort (electric), and grand comfort (electric as well), the last we get to in a bit. There are also 2 three-seat benches to choose from, with electric or manual adjustments.

We can assume that the electric motor adds weight to those seats. However, these electric seats also offer the option to do their own "seat ballet", as Mercedes calls it through the remote control. Seats can be configured remotely through the infotainment system, the seat control button in the van, or the Mercedes-Benz app. The 4 configurations are baggage, which moves all the seats forward as much as possible to maximize cargo space, Executive, which moves the seats back to increase leg room as much as possible, people & baggage, which moves the seats to a happy medium position that gives both rear rows as much leg room as the occupants of the e-class rear seats, and people & baggage, which It is a standard 4 configuration that returns all seats to the standard position wherever they are.

The rear cargo area your freight mode and full rear seat delete, depending on whether the short wheel base version of the space 28. 1 cubic feet from 144 cubic feet can go. It is a power lift gate own cargo rack has access to a different start through the rear window access. Especially VLE because there is no back seat, and pushed back, if it is in the cargo area can help. All of the VLE now have 10.25 inch digital gauge cluster and a 14-inch center mount infotainment touchscreen. The second 14-inch passenger display is a Super screen triumvirate can be added to one of the other new models, like the new MB is based on. The latest MBUX software running OS operating system.

There's also an optional 23.1-inch augmented reality head-up display to help with navigation and other vehicle functions. Besides these screens, the rest of the driver's and passenger's seats are pretty typical Mercedes, and are a bit more upright than most passenger cars. As with most other touch points including physical buttons the steering wheel and switchgear are all the same.  It definitely feels better than the Metris you've been before and still has its own unique dashboard design compared to commercial vans The old V-Kura one of my favorite parts of this whole area should be vents, which look like futuristic robot ears.

Depending on your trim options, there are plenty of finishing options to be made when it comes to materials. Rest assured, there are plenty of leather, microfiber, metal, carbon fiber, wood and everything else in the sun to choose from here. Even the center console is customizable in VLE. Mercedes offers 3 different layouts depending on the plan of the van. The compact standard console, has 1 (or optionally 2) wireless charging pad and 2 cup holders, offers a similar layout above the front for easy access to the rear, but has a storage compartment under the butterfly door armrest and an open storage rack for larger items such as purses. The third is even more elaborate, offering what our people can dream of.

That shuttle and family stuff are all fine, but the real winner when it comes to VLE interiors is a van with a grand comfort seat and everything else that can come with it turning this van into a well-meaning luxury limousine. 2 passengers in the middle row are treated to a couple of large reclining seats with pillows, lumbar support, massage function and calf support. A folding table and wireless charger are also built in. If you get these fancy seats, there's still a 3rd row behind them. They also get to experience the centerpiece of the VLE rear cabin: its 31.3-inch 8K resolution panoramic screen can be split in the center to create two separate 4K screens, both of which can be individually controlled by two rear mounted remotes.

It's great for both kids who want to see there own shows (Minecraft ,YouTube, etc). Business people can take advantage of the 8-megapixel built-in camera and use the screen for video conferencing. Moreover, cooler cats can also bring along their game console of choice and hook it to the built-in HDMI port.
Looking up, there is a huge sky view panoramic fixed roof that extends from the b-pillar to the rear of the car. It can be left to be discovered, but Mercedes-Benz also has something that not all EVs have for some reason, electric on it with it closed, along with all rear window awnings, that Mercedes calls a "cinematic experience" to see whatever the hell you want to see.

Create what you have to do. It sounds pretty damn good, too, thanks to the Dolby Atmos and the optional 22-speaker Bumester 3D surround sound audio system. Of course, like all other Mercedes worth its salt, there is also a lot of ambient lighting. As I said before, you can even get a fancy center console with VLE. It offers 2 storage compartments that can be heated or cooled, a UV disinfection system, an air-balance fragrance generator, 2 wireless charging options, ambient lighting and more upscale trim elements. Of course, it also comes with a cup holder. No need to worry.Initially, two Vles will be offered: the VLE300 and the VLE400 4MATIC 2.

According to Mercedes, the front wheel-drive VLE300 will have about 268 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive VLE400 will take 409 horsepower and 6.4 hours of 0-60 seconds. Both models have the same 115kWh usable battery, so the VLE300 is in line for if you're really in the largest possible range figure. Next year there are other models with a battery of 80kWh, but Mercedes is still spilling out what those vans will be like.Either way, according to Mercedes, the VlE300 will travel about 435 miles on a WLTP cycle, and perhaps the EPA's range will be about 380 miles. It is impressive from such a big van, and its 0.25 drag coefficient plays a role in the achievement.

The range number of the VlE400 4MATIC has not been mentioned yet. This means that the VLE can add up to 15 miles of WLTP range in just 220 minutes, with bidirectional charging if you need to power anything outside the VLE. To keep things comfortable and efficient, the VLE can travel in an optional Airmatic air suspension. It uses Google Maps data to know when to suck the van as low as possible to the ground to keep it close to its 0.25 drag coefficient. Overall, ride height can vary up to 1.6 inches.
